DONATION ©
A mini story by Martha Cecilia Rivera.
At nineteen, he said he’d bet his heart, liver, and eyes, that his team would be the world soccer champion. Yet, the team played better than ever and lost the same as always. Hence, he signed up as a donor. Little time passed to show that he will never reach his twenties, as his life was gone within the burned irons left from a terrible car crash. Nowadays, his kidneys give life to a young mother; his lungs, to an old man; his corneas, to a girl who was born blind. Everybody agrees that he paid off his bet.
